Celebration Sunday

All Saints Special Day is celebrated a day late on November 2nd. We warmly invite anyone to join our 10am service which will share with the Venerable Bob Jackson, Archdeacon of Walsall.

Halloween Alternative 2008

Light Up the Night, our fun and friendly alternative to Halloween scaryness is back for a second year. We assemble for our bright and shiny parade outside All Saints Church at 5pm on October 31st. Please come along in your brightest, sparkliest, shiniest outfit. There might be a prize in it for you! Goody bags, torches, hot refreshments will be given away on the night. We are grateful to Wolverhampton Police, Primary Care Trust Walking for Health, Ettingshall Local Neighbourhood Partnership, ABCD Wardens, Grove School, St Mary and St John's School and many others for their help.

Live through Easter

Our Easter Services are best experienced by attending one on each of the significant days. Although not always possible it helps to create that feel that you are walking with Jesus. Our services are quite varied creatively blending the formal and the informal.

Maundy Thursday March 20th 7.30pm

We remember Jesus' last meal with his disciples and his betrayal with a service recreating the drama of around Jesus that night. We wash one another's hands, and then share a meal before meditating in silence and darkness on Jesus' betrayal and arrest.

Good Friday March 21st

2pm

Meditation at the foot of the cross.

7pm

Walk around the more derelict areas of our district by moonlight. Meet at church.

Easter Sunday

6am

Holy Fire, Holy Communion, Holy Breakfast.

The first service of Easter, lively, friendly, with a bonfire and sausages. What better way to start Easter?

10am

Another celebration, this time with a service of Baptism and Holy Communion. Join Joanne as she takes this big step on her Christian journey.

Prayer in Lent

During Lent we have been gathering together the prayers of congregation members, school children and others to use during Holy Week. There is a huge range and we have created prayer points in different parts of the church. During Holy Week All Saints Church goes through many changes as the drama of the week unfolds. I always underestimate the energy that goes into these services from everyone involved but then that fits with the Easter story very well. If we aren't left shattered by the events remembered during Holy Week then we might have missed something!

Walking the Edge

Our second Lent walk took us to the edge of our parish boundary, following the route of the Birmingham Mainline Canal. It was interesting to see the changes taking place, with urban decay being cleared for new housing and offices. The area opposite All Saints has been cleared and we could see the view from canal to church that will make us the focal point of the new development. An exciting challenge for the local church to rise to and something reflected on in prayer in the time in church afterwards.

Walking into Lent

Perfect weather blessed our first Lenten walk led by Andrew Tomlinson of the Wolverhampton Walking for Health Team. A group of us explored the streets of All Saints and Blakenhall taking in some of the historic highlights. We concluded with a few minutes silent meditation in church for those who seeking rest for weary bodies and minds after our sun drenched pilgrimage.

There are 3 more walks left in the series each beginning at All Saints and concluding with the option of peaceful meditation in church.

Good Friday March 21st 7pm Moonlit Stroll around the Royal Hospital perimeter. Chance to see this Grade 2 Listed Building illuminated by the full moon. 60 minutes
